Wrap Your Tree In A Bible Verse Banner That Says Jesus Is The Reason
Jesus is the reason for the season. That message is never far from my head or my heart during the Christmas season. With all the food and the crafts and the shopping and gifts….well, things get a little crazy at Christmas time. Sometimes I think Jesus gets lost in all the fuss. To me, He is the most important person in my life. He is my everything and I am so glad God sent him to earth to be born in a manger. Just think, a manger. Ick! So, yeah, He sent Him here to be born in a manger just so He could be put to death on a cross. Yikes! Then, by dying on that cross He sacrificed himself, taking our sins upon Himself. Yes, His sacrifice wiped every single one of our sins away. He did that so we could be with Him in heaven. Without the sacrifice Jesus made we would all live eternally in Hell. I hear Hell sucks. So, I am so grateful to Him for what He did on that cross. There is no better time to remember the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus than at Christmas.
My favorite bible verse is probably the most popular verse in the bible. It is John 3:16. I love this verse. It is God’s promise, people.
I have this verse scattered all over my life. It is God’s gift to me and I hold it in my heart always. So, I plastered it all over my Christmas tree this year too. Here is what I did to remind me of Jesus as the reason for the season.
Word of God Banner
- Simple brown paper packaging
- Large Alpha Stamps
- Black Ink Pads
- A Bible Verse Of Your Choice
- Use a sharp serrated knife to cut the end off of your brown paper packaging roll about 5-6 inches wide (wide enough to fit your stamps).
- Roll the paper out so that you are starting at one end.
- Put black ink all over your stamp, make sure you have a good amount of ink.
- Press the stamp block on top of the brown paper roll.
- Spell out your verse to the very end. Start over if your verse is short.
- Now you have a banner with your favorite bible verse on it.
- Wrap your verse around your pre-decorated tree so that it stands out and can’t be missed.
We don’t need a Christmas Tree to remember that Christ came to us to save us from ourselves. Just hit the floor, on your knees and pray: “God, I am a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. I believe you died on the cross and rose again to save me from my sin. Come into my heart forever. I give my life to you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
Now you have Jesus in your heart forever as your Lord and Savior. Seek Him and he will guide you through your life. It is helpful to have a few tools to help you in your new life. First, get yourself a bible. Start reading. John 3:16 is a good place to start. Be sure to read John 3:17 too.
Secondly, find a church or community or friend who can help you on your journey. Walking with Christ is not meant to be done alone. But, hey, you are never going to be alone again because you have Jesus in your heart.
P.S. If you prayed the prayer above for the first time then please leave us a comment or email us to let us know so that we can pray specifically for you. Merry Christmas and God Bless Ya!
